Susannah Acland Interiors is an Interior Design Consultancy based in the beautiful village of Upper Farringdon near Alton, Hampshire.

Offering a collaborative and affordable approach to design, my clients are at the centre of the process. Whilst offering plenty of fresh ideas and advice, I “coach” my clients to help them make their own design decisions, so that the end result is a true reflection of them and their family.

As well as offering interior design advice, I also run a variety of other creative enterprises from my studio.

The Needles, Isle of Wight

I am a keen watercolour and pen and ink artist, specialising in landscapes and the architectural treasures of the surrounding area.  I undertake commissions for clients, painting and / or drawing their homes or views of landscapes which are special to them.

I also makes hand printed gift cards and fabric memo boards which I sell at local craft fairs.

When I am not creating in my studio, I manage our beautiful two bedroom self-catering holiday accommodation which adjoins my creative studio. Click on the button below for more information:

About

Having established Susannah Acland Interiors in 2009, I have over 10 years of experience working with residential clients on a variety of interiors projects from single room makeovers to whole houses.

Creativity is in my blood and I have been creating designs, artwork and crafts for as long as I can remember. This passion started at school where I took fine art A-level and went on to study the History of Modern Art, Design and Film at Northumbria University.

After working in the charity sector for a number of years, arranging high profile fundraising events at The British Museum followed by Great Ormond Street Hospital, I retrained at the highly regarded KLC School of Design in Chelsea Harbour.  After achieving honours, I went on to gain valuable work experience at one of London’s leading interior design agencies before working for a small independent studio in Richmond Upon Thames, prior to setting up on my own.

I hold a City and Guilds certificate in Soft Furnishings and continue to make Roman blinds, cushions and lampshades for my interior design clients. 

I am lucky enough to have my creative studio in The Hay Barn, in which I have the space to unleash all of my creative passions. It is a multi creative space which provides me with a sanctuary from our busy household in which to work on my interior design projects (and house my huge array of fabric, wallpaper and rug samples etc) as well as sew, paint, print, make lampshades and memo boards and any other creative project I am working on!

I live opposite The Hay Barn with my husband, two young daughters, our two dogs and three guinea pigs!
