About

Having established Susannah Acland Interiors in 2009, I have over 10 years of experience working with residential clients on a variety of interiors projects from single room makeovers to whole houses.

I have been creating designs, artwork and crafts for as long as I can remember. This passion started at school where I took fine art A-level and went on to study the History of Modern Art, Design and Film at Northumbria University.

After working in the charity sector for a number of years, arranging high profile fundraising events at The British Museum followed by Great Ormond Street Hospital, I retrained at the highly regarded KLC School of Design in Chelsea Harbour.  After achieving honours, I went on to gain valuable work experience at one of London’s leading interior design agencies before working for a small independent studio in Richmond Upon Thames, prior to setting up on my own.

I hold a City and Guilds certificate in Soft Furnishings and continue to make Roman blinds, cushions and lampshades for my interior design clients.

On moving to Hampshire, my love of painting was reignited, having the space both mentally and physically to create my artworks.

I am lucky enough to have a dedicated studio space in The Hay Barn – a multi creative space – from where I work on my interior design projects (and house my substantial array of fabric and wallpaper samples etc) and paint.
